Had a doc tell a client at the salon that "there's no such thing as Lyme disease or Rocky Mountain Spotted Tick Fever."
Uhm, wtf?
And, Boss Lady of salon I work at - her mother is in a nursing home & the docs there had her on TWENTY SEVEN types of meds - some of which are known carcinogens and/or contradict what other meds she's on. Woman is now "diabetic" and nursing home is claiming that it's "normal" for her blood sugar to be up in the 300s. BS - that's why this woman is having so many other health probs! Of course, the doc gets all pissed off when Boss Lady is questioning the meds and his treatment.
Because she does her research and he doesn't like a patient and/or relative to be more informed and up to date than he is. After all, he spent 8+ years going to school to be a dr, and he knows it all. (Yeah, right...)
Yes true, but I fear it is going to get a lot worse...
with how Washington is handling it.
AND I sort of chuckle when I hear that
'whatever we do, we don't want rationed medicine'
We are already at that....in many situations e.g.
Oregon Blue Cross REFUSES to pay for growth hormone in
any instance. ANY.
They consider it cosmetic.
I am unable to make it because due to a brain tumor I no
longer have a pituitary gland.
Yet, if I were with Oregon Blue Cross, I would not be allowed
It is one drug that literally keeps me alive now so hardly
cosmetic.
