COUGAR Alert...........................

Asian Dragon
a large cat has been spotted about a block from where I live...........I just received a call from my next door
neighbor who is neighborhood watch........
I see my security light, which is on my patio, go on at night but never have considered more than a raccoon or maybe a possum, but a cougar?
Gives me pause about going out late at night to post my garbage container.............

yes they can be nasty tempered. I am not even sure if anyone called animal control about it.........

The worst thing I have to watch out for here is foxes...but they usually run from humans! Second worst is the gnats (mosquitos!)

mozzies can be so annoying.........I try to keep any water from standing anywhere outside.......we now have Nile Fever in the area......

When we lived in Lacey, WA we had a cougar wander around our apartment complex one night in the summer. Our cat freaked out when it went under our window which alerted me and I TOTALLY freaked. My daughter and I saw the tracks the next morning and we were scared to go out at night until F&W trapped it.

I live SW of Portland..........I am not even certain if anyone called F&W and when I asked she said she did not know.
It was seen in the court which is just around the corner from where I live
I am not sure I want to put out my garbage late at night anymore and leave my garage cracked quite as much anymore, OR make certain it is closed before it gets dark......

I am taking my garbage out to the curb while it is still light
tonight and also closing my garage door before it gets dark
I don't want that thing creeping into my garage either.
Can you imagine the racket if it got locked in there and never
mind the surprise when I opened the door in the AM?
