Yesterday in my mild whine about my house being a bit untidy, I failed to mention the following:
Not too long ago a study was conducted regarding clutter and the results were quite astounding.
If everyone in America cleaned out the clutter in their homes at the same time, there would not be enough garbage trucks
to haul it away, nor enough landfill to take it.

I don't like to think of my house as cluttered, rather everything is stategically placed. 9 out of 10 times, I can find what I am looking for:)

I am there with you particularly when it comes to my den.
(my living room is formal, but not this area)
And in my last job I warned my clerical asst. NOT to do any
'tidying up' when it came to my desk top, as I knew where everything was, e.g. one time the chairman of the board came into my office and as we chatted he happened to mention a particular
document. I sifted through the papers on my desk and whipped it out from underneath the rest of the papers.
Later my friend, who worked for Leo, told me he could not believe what had happened.
